What Roteo does and does not collect, and how it is used.

Last updated: October 23, 2026.

Roteo is built to keep as little about you as possible. We do not store your prompts, the model's responses, or your conversations, whether you use the API, the web chat or the Station. This policy explains the little we do process to run and bill the Gateway, and what we deliberately never keep.

Your content

We do not keep your prompts or the model's responses, whether they come through the API, the web chat or the Station. We store none of the content you send or receive: we meter usage for billing, never the content. The web chat lives entirely in your browser's local storage, so your conversations never reach our servers.

Images you create in the Station go straight to your browser and are never stored. The Station keeps your runs, the references you used and their results in your browser's own storage on your device, not on our servers, so you can reopen them later; clearing your browser's site data deletes them. The only generated files that stay on our servers are videos, and images you request through the API as a link (response_format: url), and only so you can download them: the download link works for 24 hours, and the file is deleted within about 48 hours. A video made in the Station is deleted from our servers as soon as your browser has saved it. Files you upload as a reference for a new video (videos, and images and audio sent through the API's uploads), and a reference video you give as a link (we copy it once, so the video is priced and made from the same file), are stored privately only while that video is made, then deleted, and never kept more than about an hour.

Draft mode is the one opt-in exception. When you run a Seedance 2.5 video as a draft, our video provider holds that request's prompt and inputs, and the draft itself, so the same shot can be finished in 1080p later, and is instructed to delete them after 48 hours. Roteo itself still stores none of it. The Station asks you to approve this on every draft run; through the API it applies only to requests sent with draft: true. Leave draft mode off for anything you do not want kept.

If our safety filter declines a request, we record only that it was declined, its category and when. Never the prompt.

What we process to run the Gateway

To operate and bill the Gateway, we process a minimal set of operational data. None of it is the content of your requests.

DataWhy
Usage metering (token and image counts, model, timestamp)To calculate and settle per-request charges.
Request metadata (request ID, response status, rate-limit counters)To operate the Gateway, prevent abuse, and support you.
Wallet address and onchain settlementsTo authorize and settle payments.
API-key metadata (a hash, name, and usage stats)To authenticate requests. We never store the key's secret.
Account identifier (from sign-in)To associate your keys, wallet, and usage.
Declined-request records (category and time, never the prompt)To enforce our Terms and prevent abuse.

Onchain data

Payments settle onchain using open standards. Transactions on a public blockchain (such as amounts, wallet addresses, and timestamps) are public by nature and are outside our control.

Gateway providers

We rely on third parties to provide sign-in, wallet, and hosting infrastructure, and to run the AI models that answer your requests. They process only what is needed to provide their function and are bound by their own terms and privacy commitments.

Cookies and local storage

The dashboard uses local storage and essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as theme and language. The Station also uses your browser's storage to keep your runs and their files on your device. We do not use any of it to track the content of your requests.

Data retention

We do not store request content, so there is nothing of that kind to retain. Generated videos, and API images requested as a link, are deleted within about 48 hours of being created, and a Station video as soon as your browser has saved it. Reference files you upload, and reference videos we copy from a link, are deleted as soon as their video is made, and within about an hour at most. The one exception is draft mode, described above: a draft's prompt and inputs are held by our video provider, not by us, and it is instructed to delete them after 48 hours. We keep the minimal metering and billing records above only for as long as needed to operate the Gateway and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your choices

You can rotate or revoke API keys at any time, and you control your own wallet and its funds at all times. For questions about your data, contact us using the details below.

Children

The Gateway is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
